Judicial Review
As outlined in the judicial review, the power of the courts determine what the government does in accord with what the Constitution provides. The judicial review is an example of a modern governmental check and balance system. Under the Judicial Review, the Supreme Court has the power to review a law and determine if it is considered constitutional or unconstitutional.

Examples of Judicial Review:There have been many court cases that are reviewed by the Judicial Review. Some of the most famous ones are Roe v. Wade, Brown v. Board of Education, and Texas v. Johnson. In Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court overturned a law that made abortion illegal. In Brown v. Board of Education, racial segregation in schools was deemed illegal. In the case of Texas v. Johnson, the court overturned a Texas law which prohibited desecration of the United States flag.
